Medical Officer

Job Title: Medical Officers Location: Clinix Tshepo-Themba, Dr SK Matseke, Botshelong-Empilweni, Naledi-Nkanyezi & Victoria Itokolle
Reports to: Hospital Manager
Job Summary: To support hospital management and the clinical team in providing quality health care and maintaining high care standards in the facility.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience: MBChB/MBBCh or equivalent DegreeRegistration with HPCSA as a medical practitioner in Independent PracticeMinimum 5 years experience as a Medical Officer in a health facilitySound knowledge of Medical EthicsSound clinical knowledge with regards to the practice of medicine as a general practitionerA Certificate qualification in any of the following: BLS, ACLS, APLS, or ATLS will be an added advantageMinimum Job Requirements: Contribute to efficient hospital management by providing medical and clinical advisory servicesBuild working relationships across teams and functional lines to enhance work deliveryShow up as a team player and contribute to building and maintaining a capable and high-maintaining teamManage the financial integrity of the area of responsibilityManage reporting, risk, and governanceProvide support to Hospital management to ensure efficient standard of patient care and services are maintainedSupport the aims and objectives of CHG with regards to the standard of patient careManagement of patients admitted in wards including ICU and assisting surgeons in theatre and doing calls in Emergency Unit/CasualtyEnsure the safe, efficient, and effective delivery of medical servicesAbility to deal with all medical emergenciesAssist with Clinical auditsParticipate in continuous professional developmentDevelop and maintain effective communication with specialists in the hospitalCompetencies and Skills: Excellent communication and organizational skillsCustomer CentricityProblem SolvingBuilding relationshipsAbility to multitask and work efficiently under deadlinesStress tolerancePrepared to work shifts and/or after-hour calls
