The following will serve as an added advantage:Minimum of 2 Current Advanced Life Support courses of which one must be a trauma course (ACLS/ACLS EP/AMLS; PALS/APLS; AIME; ATLS/ITLS/EMATT). DipPEC and/or DA/DipHIV and/or FCEM Part 1 primary exams. Core emergency Point-of-Care Ultrasound course and certification. Experience in Emergency Medicine.Duties :Shift work in the Emergency Departments of the joint academic and clinical Department of Emergency Medicine.Internal rotation through both Emergency Department units in the Helen Joseph Hospital and Rahima Moosa Mother and Child complex. Manage a variety of Emergency Medicine clinical cases including medical, surgical, trauma, paediatric and women's health emergencies. Promote evidence-based patient care.Clinical supervision and training of junior staff. Participate in departmental academic and research activities.Administrative duties pertinent to the practice of Emergency Medicine (including medico-legal documentation).
