Qualifying Requirements Minimum 4-5 years relevant experience in a pharmaceutical or similar environment MBCHB, registered with the HPCSA or equivalent healthcare qualification Previous experience in Oncology and Anti-Infectives will be advantageous Embodies our values and behaviours in all internal and external interactions Scientific expertise in relevant therapeutic areas Understanding customer needs for insightful generation Excellent Leadership skills Proactive with good problem-solving skills Excellent communication and presentation skills Good understanding of clinical trials, biostatistics, healthcare environment, pharmaceutical industry and organization and medical affairs function Good understanding of the code of marketing practices in South Africa Excellent user of MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) Job Purpose: Help guide the strategic direction in therapeutic areas and provide training and support to the sales force. Provide information regarding medical based questions, legal and regulatory matters, thus enabling colleagues to comply with the required statutory requirements. Develop good relationships with key opinion leaders. Coaching and upskilling of Medical Advisors and Medical Science Liaisons Main Duties and Responsibilities Provide medical and scientific insights in the assigned therapeutic areas Disseminate clear content of scientific data to HCPs Work with the marketing department to develop marketing strategies and materials Collaborative interaction with commercial team during monthly cross functional team meetings Review of promotional materials Provide support to regulatory affairs department for obtaining applicable product licenses Represent the company and participate in both local and international meetings Identify and cultivate KOLs to increase scientific and clinical knowledge of company products Plan and execute medical education meetings Plan and execute medical training workshops Plan and lead advisory board meetings Developed medical and commercial HCP presentations for academic meetings and trainings Plan and execute brand medical strategy Ensure strict adherence to all company SOPs and country regulations Develop and review medical SOPs Compile monthly and quarterly team reports Oversees the company medical information system for Africa region Provide medical and scientific information response to unsolicited requests from HCPs Provide clinical input and responses to complex product related and other medical queries Ensure knowledge of the pharmacovigilance standard of practice for all company products Ensure the pharmacovigilance team is included in all medical information requests Forwarding of all received Product Quality Complaints, Adverse Events and Medical Enquiries to the relevant person in Quality Assurance / Pharmacovigilance / Medical Affairs
