A Psychology Practice in Claremont, Cape Town needs a proficient Medical Administrator/Administrative Assistant to join their dynamic team.
The practice needs a competent, qualified person with at least 3 years of medical administrative experience to ensure the smooth running of the Reception Desk. The ideal candidate must be able to work independently, and in a team and have a strong sense of responsibility.Job Description:- Program Management - Book online appointments for all practitioners for new and existing clients- Handle patient/client inquiries by phone, WhatsApp and email- Payment receipts - credit card or cash- Manage new claims - open and prepare files- Submit medical assistance forms- Write medical reports and references- Assist psychologists with potential questions/tasks- Archiving- Additional management-related functions and accounting- General cleaning – ensure that the training and reception area is always clean.- Ensure stationery, office supplies and equipment are in orderCharacteristics/ Requirements:- Self-starter- Good written and spoken English- Adequate computer skills - excel, outlook, word and all medical software. (Elixir would be an advantage)- Ability to handle a fast-paced environment - stress tolerance- Good prioritisation and multi-tasking- Committed to work with an "I can do it" attitudeSelected candidates will undergo a thorough psychometric evaluation, which is part of the interview process.Working hours: Tuesday, Friday 08:00-17:00 (1-hour lunch)Wednesday and Thursday 10:30-19:30 (1-hour lunch)Every Saturday 08:00-17: 00 (without lunch) - subject to appointment bookings Days off - Sunday and MondayPublic holidays, to work on an adhoc basis Must be available during times of emergencies and for any other reason for telephonic check-ins.Clear dedication to the job requirements and their success.Flexibility of time is essential as it is a Psychology Clinic
The position is available from 1st June 2024 Salary: R11 500 gross (After 3 month probation period the practice can also offer a permanent post + an R500 increase)
