Hire Resolve is currently partnering with a reputable firm in the construction industry seeking a Mechanical Workshop Buyer to join the team in Wellington.As the Mechanical Workshop Buyer, you will be responsible for purchasing and procuring mechanical equipment and materials for the workshop to support construction projects.ResponsibilitiesSource and purchase mechanical equipment, tools, and materials as required for the workshopNegotiate contracts and agreements with suppliersEnsure timely delivery of materials and equipment to meet project requirementsMaintain accurate records of purchases and inventory levelsWork closely with the workshop team to understand their needs and requirementsMonitor market trends and prices to ensure competitive sourcingConduct regular supplier evaluations and ensure compliance with quality and safety standardsCollaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project executionRequirementsMinimum 3-5 years mechanical engineering experienceMinimum 3 years' experience as a purchaser of mechanical partsMeasurable knowledge of yellow machinery as well as vehicle partsPrevious experience in procurement or purchasing, preferably in the construction industryKnowledge of mechanical equipment and materialsStrong negotiation and communication skillsOrganizational and analytical skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamProficiency in MS Office and purchasing softwareValid driver's licenseBenefitsSalary: NegotiableContact Hire Resolve for your next career-changing move.Our client is offering a highly competitive salary for this role based on experience
