Mechanical Trainer (Industrial / Mechanical Engineering environment) 3 months Fixed Term Contract The successful person will be tasked with facilitating all aspects of training in the production process environment, including developing course material through existing SOPs, delivering theoretical and practical training, and assessing and moderating all levels of training.
The minimum requirements for the role are:
Grade 12National diploma/degree in Industrial/Mechanical Engineering or equivalentSuccessful completion of an Assessor and Moderator qualificationBasic literacy in MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint5 to 10 years of experience working as a FacilitatorWell-rounded business communication skills (writing/reading/communication in English)Responsibilities will include Actively design, develop and execute all training and development initiatives for staff in line with SETA/Industry Standards and the company requirements.Assess and adjust instructional methods based on the needs of individualConduct theoretical classroom training sessions covering ISO standards/requirements and safety procedures.Coordinate and conduct practical, hands-on training sessions on production.Create instructional materials, presentations, and hands-on exercises to facilitate effective.Demonstrate and Supervise hands-on training.Designed and developed comprehensive training programs for the entire operation through SOPs.Evaluate trainee performance through practical assessments and writtenIntegrate new technologies and techniques into the trainingLiaise with the Safety Department to ensure that all practical training is done in a safeMaintain accurate records of training sessions, attendance, and traineePrepare and update training manuals and reference guides, and Liaise with Management to identify training needs and opportunities for improvementProvide constructive feedback to help individuals improve their skillsUpdate training materials and curriculum to reflect the latest industry standards and bestUse multimedia tools and resources to enhance learningSkills Assessment Engineering Facilitating Mechanical Mechanical Design Training
