Mechanical Technician - Maintenance

Minimum Requirements:Matric/ Grade 12Completed relevant Trade TestN6 Engineering Studies qualification completed2 + years Preventative Maintenance experience within a Manufacturing Maintenance environment Main Responsibilities:Maintain required uptime on all machinery and equipmentComplete all preventative maintenance schedulesMaintain level of plant and equipmentComplete all required maintenance log sheet recordsAssist production personal where requiredComply with all safety standardsEnsure all equipment is maintained according to manufacturer's standardsEnsure quality is not compromised at any timePlant and machinery to be kept clean and tidy as per requirements of 5SResponsible for maintenance of mechanical and /or electrical machinery and equipmentEnsure effective communication of relevant information to all stakeholders to support effectivedecision making for the businessUnderstanding maintenance best practicesEnergetic, proactive and able to work under pressureBe able to work overtime and shift work Key Skills and Experience:Welding, Milling and Turning, Tooling repairsPneumatics and HydraulicsGearboxes, Water Systems and Cooling towersElectrical ExperienceMechanical Drives, conveyors and linear bearing systemsFault Finding and DiagnosisRobot system experience, ABB, FanucShould be able to diagnose faults, strip and re-assemble machines without supervision
