Mechanical Maintenance ManagerOur client, a listed and leading plastics manufacturer based in Durban, serving customers and markets in South Africa, Africa and beyond, is looking for a Mechanical Maintenance Manager to join their growing team.Duties & ResponsibilitiesKey Performance Areas:Manage the Mechanical Maintenance teamGMR2.1 appointee responsibility for the siteAccountable for application of the Maintain Facility Work ProcessEnsuring that the plans for the equipment viability & designed to meet its intended or existing service conditionsEnsures delivery of best-in-class services to the businessAccountable for MRO inventory levels & the achievements of facility stretch targetsDefines skills necessary to implement the work process & ensures effective resource leveraging within the mechanical facilityProvides engineering strategic support for specification, identification, & purchasing of needed partsLeverage most effective technology through partnership with the Discipline Activity SpecialistsActively participate & drive maintenance process improvementsServe as a strategic leader for the Mechanical subject matter experts in equipment failures & repair techniques during root cause investigationsDesired Experience & QualificationEducation & Experience Requirements:Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical) or higherGCC Factories10 years' experience in the chemical industrial environment, with 5 years' middle management or a leading roleCritical Requirements:Exceptional leadership skillsProductivity focussed, technical capability, innovative & strong assertivenessHighly analyticalStrong people management skillsConceptualize & drive the mechanical maintenance strategyAbility to work independently & as a part of an empowered MANCO team memberAbility & willingness to travel
