Mechanical Fitter

CTP Printers, a dynamic leader in the printing sector, is looking to fill the position of a Mechanical Fitter for their Engineering department. The position will report to the Engineering Manager and will be based in Parow, Cape Town.REQUIREMENTS:Mechanic Fitter QualificationRelevant Trade TestGrade 12 (Matric) certificateA minimum of 2-3 years' experience within a production environment in a similar role is essentialExcellent verbal and written communication skills (in English)Competent in MS OfficeExperience in an integrated MIS package would be advantageous (training will be provided)Able to multi-taskGreat organisational skillsAttention to detail as well as accuracyTeam Player but must be able to work independently as wellAble to work towards deadlinesPhysically fitOpen to working shiftsRESPONSIBILITIES:Lubricating of machineryFitting parts into machineryService of machinery as per service guidesConduct preventative maintenance as per machine guidesRepairing of machinery as and when required (inclusive of breakdowns)Ensure that company tools and equipment are kept in a good conditionAdhere to the company's Health and Safety policies and procedures as well as relevant Health and Safety legislationEnsure that the company's quality standards are met and maintained in terms of the efficiency of the company's machineryLiaise with production departments (operators and managers) to ensure that repairs and modifications are to their satisfaction*All applicants will be required to pass an NQF Level 2 assessment and submit themselves to a criminal record check as well as a pre-employment medical evaluationCTP Printers is an equal opportunity employer and endeavours to ensure that appointments are made in accordance with the current Employment Equity Plan of CTP Printers Cape Town and its Employment Equity Goals and targets.
