Apply engineering physics, engineering mathematics, and materials science principles to support the design, analysis, manufacture, or maintenance of mechanical systems. Apply specific functional, working, and general industry knowledge. Develop or contribute to solutions to a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity. Work independently with some guidance, may review or guide activities of more junior employees.
Basic Qualifications: 5+ years of experience with mechanical designs and concepts in CAD through SolidWorks, SolidWorks PDM, or SolidWorks modeling and simulation
5+ years of experience with developing drawings, Bill of Materials (BOMs), and Technical Data Packages
5+ years of experience with structural analysis using Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and thermal modeling for calculating and designing based on rugged environmental conditions
5+ years of experience with fabrication, operation, application, installation, and repair of mechanical components and systems
5+ years of experience with the design, development, implementation, and testing of mechanical components, equipment, and machinery in the development of RDT&E systems, subsystems, and component-level technologies
Experience with supporting DoD programs
Experience with cross-discipline problem solving, including electrical engineering, pulse power engineering, physics, or RF engineering
Ability to provide modification recommendations and troubleshooting for RF, EMI, and high voltage technical issues
Bachelor's degree in Science, Mechanical Engineering, or Electrical Engineering
Additional Qualifications: Experience with RF systems and technologies
Experience with Directed Energy weapons and technologies
Experience in the integration of HPM or pulsed power systems into land, air, or shipboard applications
Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering
Clearance: Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $60,300.00 to $137,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
