Qualifications
BSc Chemical/Industrial/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering.
Experience
0 - 2 years Industrial Experience.
Duties
To ensure process safety adherence:
Prevent occupational and process safety incidents by implementing integral safe design principles.
Conduct risk assessments for tasks and process deviations.
Facilitate Design Reviews, risk assessments, and Hazop Studies to minimise risks of new projects.
Find root causes and mitigating actions to prevent/eliminate safety incidents.
Drive high performance targets with the team:
Identify process deviations, their root causes and take corrective action.
Ensure reliability of processes.
Manage costs according to budget.
Provide technical support to production facility.
Mass and Energy balancing.
Develop process flowsheets, schematics, process and instrumentation diagrams.
Continuous Improvement of processes.
Equipment sizing, procurement and commissioning.
Effective project and team management:
Frequent engagement with Production and relevant stakeholders.
Resource & Project Management.
Factor safety risk, maintenance costs, capital expense into plans.
Assist in procuring equipment, instrumentation, piping and valves.
Assist in testing control loops.
Assist in Pre, cold & hot commissioning.
To ensure quality adherence:
Ensure projects undertaken are executed to specified standard and with excellence.
Excellent & systematic administration:
Proper written communication and interpretation.
Write reports, prepare presentations, create graphs from data (data reporting), send emails, run meetings, text, social media savvy.
