Youll be involved in the entire design process, from initial concept to production, ensuring that all designs adhere to industry standards and are robust enough to handle the demanding conditions of mining operations.Key Responsibilities:Design, develop, and optimize mechanical systems and components for mining equipment such as conveyors, crushers, and haul trucks.Create detailed engineering drawings and 3D models using CAD software like SolidWorks and AutoCAD.Perform stress and fatigue analysis to ensure designs meet durability and safety standards.Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including electrical, structural, and project engineers, to integrate mechanical designs into broader systems.Evaluate existing equipment and suggest design modifications to enhance performance, reduce costs, and increase service life.Partner with suppliers and manufacturers to source necessary components and materials.Conduct field assessments and provide technical support during equipment installation and commissioning.Maintain comprehensive documentation of design processes, calculations, and modifications.Stay up-to-date with industry standards, safety regulations, and new technologies relevant to the mining industry.Requirements:Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.Proficiency in 3D CAD software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or CATIA.Strong understanding of mechanical systems, materials, and manufacturing processes.Experience with FEA (Finite Element Analysis) and other simulation tools.Ability to thrive in high-pressure environments and manage multiple projects simultaneously.Excellent problem-solving skills, with an emphasis on practical and cost-effective solutions.Strong communication and teamwork skills.Ready to take on the challenge?
