Mechanical Engineer

Position: Mechanical Engineer
Location: Centurion, Gauteng, South Africa
Salary: R35,000 - R50,000 per month (dependent on experience) (Monthly, Basic Salary)

Job Objective: We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our team and contribute to the creation of high-quality and cost-effective engineering solutions.
Key Responsibilities:

Generate conceptual drawings and review drawings produced by Draughtsmen to ensure design intention.
Analyse structures and perform Finite Element Analysis (static and dynamic).
Determine structure loadings and perform structural steel design.
Write technical reports and perform three-dimensional modelling of concepts.
Conduct fluid flow simulations using Computational Fluid Dynamics and Flownex.
Perform vibration analysis and prepare fabrication and construction cost estimates.
Prepare scope of works documentation and conduct site work including measurements, verifications, commissioning, inspections, and supervision.
Have knowledge of relevant codes and specifications including SANS 10160, SANS 10162, BS4076 & BS EN 1993-3-2-2006, BS EN 1991-4 & BS 1993-4-1, AWS D1.1, and BS EN 1993-1-9.

Software Utilization:

Proficient in Prokon software suite for structural analysis and design.
Experience with CAESER II for pipe stress analysis.
Familiarity with EFD Lab for Computational Fluid Dynamics.
Proficiency in Patran Nastran for Finite Element Analysis.
Knowledge of Flownex for fluid network analysis.
Experience with Ironcad for 3D modeling and 2D drawing.
Proficient in Autocad for 2D drawing.
Familiarity with Autodesk Revit, Autodesk Recap, Autodesk Inventor, and Autodesk Navisworks.
