Create detailed, precise technical drawings based on 3D models, optimized for efficient manufacturingCost Estimate (QCE) and BOM Management: Prepare and manage costing sheets (QCE) and bills of materials (BOMs) to support budgeting and resource allocation for projectsMaterial and Process Specifications: Recommend suitable materials and production methods, balancing cost-effectiveness with quality standardsPrototype and Production Support: Support the prototyping process to help refine and finalize design detailsDocumentation Maintenance: Maintain organized, accurate technical drawings, BOMs, and specificationsAttention to Detail: Ensure a high level of precision by adhering closely to all specificationsAdaptability: Exhibit strong time management, multitasking skills, and a proactive approach to ongoing learning and improvementWork closely with design and engineering teams to ensure drawings align with the design intent and production requirements Skills & Experience: Minimum 5 years of experienceProficiency in SolidWorks and/or RhinoReal World on the job Fusion 360 ExperienceCAM CNC, G- Code generation in both 2 & 3 Axis is importantunderstanding of materials is critical Steels & Alloys, Acrylics & Plastics, Wood & Composites Qualification:MatricNational Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or draughting certificate Only South African Residents or individuals with a relevant South African work permit will be considered.
