This position if based at the Molenaar Design Laboratory offices at Parc du Cap in Bellville.Experienced Mechanical Design EngineerWe are looking to employ a qualified and experienced mechanical design engineer who has a strong aptitude and passion for creative machine design and is attentive to detail and enjoys technical challenges and solving them through innovative design solutionsThe successful candidates must have:BSc Eng (Mechanical) or B. Eng (Mech) or Mech-elec or Mechatronics degree5+ years machine design experienceExperience in a manufacturing environmentExperience in working on CREO would be preferableThe primary responsibilities would include:Research & development workMachine designDesign Mechanical assemblies & parts using 3D CADProduce drawings, bills of material etc. for manufactureContribute to conceptual designsAttend trials of new equipment, interpret and act on observations and solve problemsAssist with control systems – draw schematic diagramsFocus will be on mechanical design – ability to design control systems (PLC programming) would be an advantageSupervision of implementationTake responsibility for tasks assigned to you from the start to the point of deliverySite work at customer sitesBe willing to travel for work purposesInterested candidates should send their CV's + transcript of academic results, for the attention of Deirdre Conway (indicate the position applying for) to: ******
