Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Strong foundation in engineering principles.
Exposure to vehicle design, potential failure mode analysis and functional requirements.
General understanding of mechanical systems and strength of materials and production methods.
Sound knowledge of CAD 3D design in Solidworks.
Knowledge: Exposure to vehicle design, potential failure mode analysis and functional requirements.
Understanding of the strengths of materials, stress analysis and engineering design fundamentals.
General understanding of mechanical systems.
Duties and responsibilities: Product Development Design and develop a product or product family in line with RMA Global standards.
Coordinate all documentation & testing required for a product release.
Coordinate prototype builds internally/externally.
Develop innovative feature solutions in a compressed timeline.
Ensure production procedures efficiently utilize materials, methods and personnel.
Work with external resources to resolve product issues.
Work with external design resources to ensure quality design and performance.
Assist in selection of material within project constrains.
Other duties as assigned e.g.
material sourcing selection.
Assigning part numbers, manage part and feature approvals and maintaining the documentation related to the PLM System.
PPAP/PSW approval and submission on new projects from supplier to end customer.
Project Planning Determines project specifications by studying product design, customer requirements, and performance standards; completing technical studies; preparing cost estimates.
Confirms product performance by designing and conducting tests.
Controls project plan by reviewing design, specifications, and plan and schedule changes; recommending actions.
Participate in regular project review meetings conducted both internally and externally.
Participation in supplier monitoring and selection Control part and feature cost.
