Key Output

Assist a mechanic / technician in servicing and repair machines and / or components to OEM standards and customer requirements while maintaining an orderly and safe workplace.
Assist the mechanic(s) in performing moderate to complex maintenance and repair work on machines and / or components.
Know which tools are used for which jobs and ensure the mechanic / technician has them within reach.
Clean and maintain facilities and equipment.
Assist artisan to obtain and check parts for particular jobs.
Maintain a safe and orderly workplace.

Qualification, Experience and Competencies

Minimum Grade GG12/Matric.
Ability to obtain certification as forklift operator within 90 days of appointment.
Ability to obtain certification as overhead / jib crane operator within 90 days of appointment.
Ability to follow instructions under supervision.
Driver's licence – Code B will be an added advantage.
Verbal comprehension, physical resilience.
Aiming (hand-eye coordination).
