Mechanic

FCS Reporting to the Branch/Fleet Manager The above position is vacant at our Worcester Branch.
The overall purpose of this position is to repair the company vehicles when needed.
Minimum Requirements: Clear criminal recordQualified – Trade certificate in diesel/petrol mechanics to work on various vehiclesAt least 5 years' diesel mechanic's experienceExperience with Toyota Dyna's; Hino 300's; Hilux D4D's; Nissan MP200's; Isuzu bakkies are an advantageValid drivers' license (code 10 is advantageous)Own transport is advantageousAble to work under pressure, unsupervised and multitaskMust be prepared to work irregular hours, i.e.
standby duties; shifts and overtimeAuto Electric knowledge/experience is an advantagePhysically fitJob Specification: Rebuild a diesel and petrol engine (various makes of vehicles)Servicing of vehiclesPerform day to day maintenance on vehiclesCompile paperwork for each vehiclePerforming basic workshop dutiesOther Personality Attributes and Core Competencies: Must be honest and reliableMust have good verbal and language abilitiesAble to follow instructions accuratelyProblem solvingPay attention to detailMust be self-motivatedWilling to work overtimeAccuracyQuality assuranceExcellent organisation and planning abilityTime management and punctualityWe reserve the right not to make an appointment to any advertised position.
