RESPONSIBILITIES:Mechanical Engineer must work on all the product stages of Water Jetting Technology and Water Jetting Equipment. The product stages include:
Research and Product DevelopmentDesign and ManufactureAssembly and InstallationFinal Commissioning of Water Jetting Equipment, Rigs and TrailersThe Mechanical Engineer needs to ensure that all equipment and systems work safely and efficiently and meet the clients and customers' requirements.
The responsibilities also include:
Design of Water Jetting Equipment, Rigs and Trailers using the current Computer Aided Design (CAD) software, which is Solid Works.Identifying any deficiencies in the equipment and systems, followed by developing design improvements.Identifying, formulating, and producing effective solutions to emerging problems.Altering and modifying design to meet requirements and to eliminate malfunctions.Presenting designs to directors, management teams, and clients.Preparing Product Reports and all relevant documentation.Overseeing Standard Operating Procedures and other Procedures.Preparing documentation of critical analysis and failures and providing corrective actions.Liaising with suppliers, manufacturers, workshops, etc.Assessing various Project requirements.Estimating budgets and time scopes for each project.Qualifications & Experience:Required: Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or B Tech Degree.Alternative: National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.Preferred: Registered as a Professional Engineer (an advantage).Experience in Water Technology and Equipment (an advantage).Experience working in the mechanical engineering field (minimum of 8 years).Any High-Pressure experience would be an added advantage.Skills: Superior computer skills, with solid experience in CAD, Solid Works.Ability to analyse test data.Ability to write clear and comprehensive technical documentation.Highly analytical mind, with good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
