TEACHER: High School Mathematics Support SpecialistThe ideal person for this position should have experience: Designing and evaluating assessments to identify learning challenges and individual needs.Developing tailored educational, emotional, social and environmental plans to address academic and developmental gaps.Providing one-on-one and group support lessons in Mathematics to pupils, employing evidence-based interventions.Collaborating closely with the support team, Mathematics teachers, parents and other professionals and specialists to create cohesive support strategies and learning methodologies.Administering, monitoring and tracking pupils' progress and adjusting interventions as needed to achieve desired outcomes.Participating in team meetings and contributing to the College's innovative approach to intervention.The ability to teach Mathematics up to Gr 12 level will be an advantage.Requirements for this position: Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Education or a related field.Demonstrated excellence in teaching Mathematics. Experience in teaching Mathematics at an IEB school would be an advantage.Understanding the development of Mathematics and English skills.Knowledge of various remediation approaches and a willingness to stay up to date with the latest research and developments in the field.A willingness to embrace the ethos, values and mission of the College.A creative and innovative mindset, always seeking new strategies to support learning and growth.Be SACE registered, have a police clearance, sexual offenders register clearance and child protection register check.Please send a letter of application, together with a short CV (not more than 3 pages), as well as the contact details of three referees to: ******.
