Job Title: Materials Engineer AeronauticsLocation: Cape town - Airport CitySalary: Market relatedVacancy Type: Full-TimeClosing date for applications: End Dec 2024Non- negotiable qualifications and experience required:Bachelors degree in Materials Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, or a related field.2-4 years of experience in materials science or engineering, preferably in the aeronautical or aerospace industry.Proficiency in material testing equipment, CAD software, and data analysis tools.Beneficial requirements:Strong knowledge of materials properties, testing methods, and aerospace applications.Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work in a collaborative environment.Duties and responsibilities:Research and develop new materials for use in aircraft components, ensuring durability, performance, and safety.Analyze material properties and conduct tests to evaluate performance under various conditions.Collaborate with engineers and designers to select and optimize materials for specific aeronautical applications.Evaluate and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements for materials in aerospace engineering.Prepare technical reports, documentation, and recommendations on material performance and improvements.
