Materials Cost Estimator (Bom)

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Materials Cost Estimator (BOM) to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining accurate bills of materials for our products, ensuring all components and materials are properly specified and costed.
The responsibilities are: Develop comprehensive bills of materials for new and existing productsCollaborate with engineering, procurement, and production teams to gather accurate component dataConduct thorough cost analysis to determine the most competitive pricing for materials and partsUpdate BOMs to reflect changes in design, suppliers, or pricingPerform regular BOM audits to identify and resolve any discrepanciesProvide technical support to the sales and operations teams on BOM-related mattersImplement processes and best practices to streamline BOM managementGenerate detailed reports and presentations on BOM status and cost trendsStay up-to-date on industry standards, regulations, and new technologies related to BOM management Requirements: Relevant degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related technical field8 to 10 years of experience in BOM development, cost estimation, or a similar roleStrong understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, and supply chain dynamicsProficiency in using BOM management software and ERP systemsExcellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detailEffective communication and interpersonal abilities to collaborate cross-functionallyFamiliarity with product lifecycle management (PLM) tools and processesAbility to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environmentProficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel for complex data analysisIf you are a detail-oriented professional with a passion for cost optimization and BOM management, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity.
