Main TasksLead logistics, materials, and production planning for the Hanover Park site.Ensure adherence to safety protocols in logistics areas, including those involving powered industrial trucks and manual handling equipment.Manage Logistics/TMS support, addressing carrier-related issues.Drive material handling and logistics improvements through Lean manufacturing practices.Collaborate with Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning to execute inventory reduction projects.Optimize production planning for efficient inventory management and level loading processes.Develop, maintain, and standardize strategies for PFEP (Plan for Every Part), material replenishment, and flow.Track and own Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) such as inventory turns, material variance, and on-time delivery rates.Analyze and standardize procedures to improve team efficiency.Lead hiring efforts and onboard new employees.Partner with Manufacturing to ensure seamless coordination of production planning, raw materials, and finished goods inventory management.Facilitate clear communication and collaboration among site support functions and the sales team.Conduct annual performance reviews, offering consistent feedback for improvement and growth.Oversee non-conformance materials processes, ensuring inspection, corrective actions, and defect management.Ensure all transport and production logistics activities meet time and budget requirements, with adherence to customer and supplier conditions.Manage supervisors and staff across material planning, receiving, inventory management, and shipping departments, ensuring strong performance and engagement in the hiring process.Your ProfileEducation and Experience Minimum of 5 years' experience in logistics or a similar role, with at least 3 years in a supervisory position.Familiarity with raw material planning and production scheduling processes.Skills Strong communication skills across all organizational levels.Experience in manufacturing/industrial distribution required; Lean Manufacturing experience preferred.Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP or similar).Strong organizational and coordination skills with a customer- and supplier-oriented mindset.Self-motivated and able to work under pressure.Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills with a collaborative, team-oriented approach.Proven ability to lead, train, and mentor employees at both personal and professional levels.Ability to regularly lift and move objects up to 50 pounds, with frequent standing, walking, and reaching.Are you full of ideas?
