PURPOSE OF THE JOB To manage his Supplier's portfolio (Internal and/or External suppliers) for ensuring goods delivery at the right time and place based on Alstom needs. Express delivery needs to suppliers and animate the Supplier's delivery performances.
Drive action plans for performance improvement & contribute to risk management.
POSITION IN THE ORGANIZATION MAIN OFFICE LOCATION: Located in Nigel (Ekurhuleni) at the production site.MAIN NETWORK: External SuppliersPlanning & Logistics Teams, Production, Sourcing, Quality, SDPM (Supplier Delivery Performance Manager)PrSCL (Project Supply Chain Leader) / PrIdM (Project Industrialization Manager), Engineering & IndustrializationFinance, Material Planning & SRM Central Team and Internal Suppliers (other Alstom Sites)RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES MISSIONS Express delivery needs to SuppliersFollow up deliveries and ensure the availability of goods for Alstom projectsMonitor Supplier's performances KPI'sParticipate/lead to Supplier's performances improvement (animation)Contribute with SC inputs for supplier selectionTASKS Internal suppliers: Manage Purchase Requisition flow up to Material Planning documentsExternal suppliers: Follow up with Sourcing the Purchase Requisition level maturity for launching Material Planning documentsEnsure and update the accuracy of material planning master data (in compliance with stock and logistic constraints)Create the Material Planning documents (Call-off, Schedule Agreement) & respective Source ListCommunicate the Material Planning documents to Suppliers and follow Suppliers confirmationAnalyze Suppliers confirmations vs. Alstom needs and evaluate the risk/impact anticipation on production/projectsIdentify priorities associated with risk/impact anticipation and set up recovery actionsMaintain a routine with Suppliers in order to check the status of deliveriesAnalyze and manage MRP exception messages and anticipate supply problems (backlogs, shortages, no demand…)Maintain delivery dates in ERPTrack missing parts until stock availabilityResolve Receiving issues (overstock, shortage, damage, documentation, etc.)Analyze and share deliveries performances KPI's with different stakeholders (Internal & External)Collaborate with Material Planning Management/SDPM to validate worst Suppliers and define appropriate action plan (adapted governance: LSCA, LCA, etc...)Apply appropriate communication routine with Suppliers based on their delivery performancesDrive and follow (when involved) Supplier Capacity AssessmentDrive and follow (when involved) Supplier's Light Capability Assessment (LSCA)Contribute to new business risk assessments and mitigation action planGENERAL SCOPE Apply APSYS roadmap and standardsRespect Alstom EHS policyParticipate to EHS improvement and targets achievementRespect Alstom Ethics & Compliance codesEDUCATION National Diploma/Degree in Supply Chain or related qualificationERP: SAPExperience with MS Office toolsEXPERIENCE 5 years material/production planning experience.Advanced knowledge of Supply chain processes especially in warehouse & material flowsSound material/production planning experience in an industrial/manufacturing.Strong industrial background, with experience in Management: Production/ Supply Chain/ Quality/ Industrialization/ Methods Engineering.Experience in Supplier relationship and management (Qualification of suppliers, Project development, Serial Life Management, Problem Solving).Experience in Automotive, Aeronautics or Rail companies desirable, with exposure to manufacturing.TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE/COMPETENCIES Strong interpersonal, negotiation and influencing skillsCommercial and financial awareness, with a full understanding of the impact of failure with regards to business costs, production targets and fulfilment of customer ordersResults orientated and organised with the ability to plan and deliver against deadlinesStrong analytical, planning and problem-solving skillsExcellent attention to detail skillsStrong negotiation skills & leadershipActive team player, deadline driven, process drivenGood communicator with the ability to form and maintain good relationships internally and externally.BEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCIES Strong leadership (in front of Supplier and internal Stakeholders)Cross Functional Team managementCan drive the Change/ is a Change AgentAutonomousAble to get global vision of the business, risks & opportunitiesPriorities & Project ManagementMaterials requirements planningInventory management & Material Planning techniquesTransport & DistributionSupply Chain information systemsData analyticsSourcing For Non-SourcingAgilityYou don't need to be a train enthusiast to thrive with us.
