Materials Planner Based: Midrand
Contract: permanent
As a Materials Planner you will: Initiate and co-ordinate action plans to manage materials shortages.Satisfactory completion of shortage reports as per communicated deadline.Expedite material as per SAP recommendations to support business requirements timeously.Ensure maintenance of SAP relevant parameters as regulated by management.Propose and evaluate continuous improvements and cost reduction initiatives.Provide material schedules to all suppliers on a frequency determined by the business.Minimize or eliminate excess inventory.Proactively eliminate Slow-moving and Obsolete stock (SLOB).To be successful in this role you should: 5 years in a supply chain role working with suppliers and sound understanding of FMCG company environment.Proven track record of managing and developing a team.Excellent presentation skills and ability to proactively contribute to customer presentations.Cross functional team player and able to operate effectively within a matrix structure.Flexible approach & innovative problem solver.Exposure to ERP/SC systems (SAP) and Advanced level Microsoft Office (Excel).Potential and desire to build career within Supply Chain.Being able to work under pressure.We offer: Good opportunities to start a professional career with a global flavor leader.Work in a dynamic international environment.Agencies: McCormick as needed will work with external recruitment vendors through our Agency Portal.
