Compensation starting at $45 per visit Works within general direction of the supervisor and in accordance with agency policies; collaborates with IDG (interdisciplinary group) to assess and implement a plan of care for patients and families, with the approval of the physician, utilizing massage therapy. Assesses individuals to identify needs and develops objectives that address these needs.
Essential Job Functions/Responsibilities Job Duties:Accept responsibility for the patient's personal care, safety, and environment during treatment.Assess clients' soft tissue condition, joint quality and function, muscle strength, and range of motion.Confer with clients about their medical histories and problems with stress or pain to determine how massage will be most helpful.Provide clients with guidance and information about techniques for relaxation.Perform therapeutic massages of soft tissues and joints.Maintain accurate clinical records and confer with other disciplines on the team in regard to patient's status, plan of care, and progress.Job Requirements:Current Massage Therapy license.Current Drivers License.Understanding of Hospice philosophy, principles of death/dying.Minimum of one year massage therapy experience.At Mission Healthcare, we believe in fostering an inclusive workplace where diversity is valued and every employee feels respected, accepted, and empowered.
