Duties & ResponsibilitiesDevelop, plan, implement and manage the overall annual marketing and communication strategy.Coordinate across all departments in developing and implementing the company-wide marketing and communication plan.Evaluate communication medium potential and manage strategic partner relationships across company departments, stakeholders and external suppliers to create awareness, educate consumers/collectors and support resellers/dealers in demand creation.Keep abreast of and understand market/dealer/consumer behavior and attitudes to generate relevant insights.Develop, guide, mentor and lead the team in meeting strategic objectives.Develop individuals so they can deliver on business objectives.Build and maintain great customer relationships, through communication and collaboration, to ensure effective service delivery within the business clusters.Build and maintain relationships with external suppliers to ensure effective services delivery.Plan projects and ensure effective implementation of these projects, within budget to meet business objectives.Execute projects based on project frameworks established and within governance structures and timelines.Participate in quality initiatives and corrective actions to address non-conformance to standards.Organise/coordinate people and resources to achieve desired work output/targets/outcomes.Develop and maintain communication structures and communicate work requirements and relevant information to direct reports so that they have access to the required tools, equipment, material etc. to perform their tasks to the required standard.Manage and coordinate marketing and creative staff, lead market research efforts to uncover the viability of current and existing marketing return on investment.Collaborate with media organizations and advertising agencies.Brainstorm ideas for new online and social media campaigns and traditional media.Provide leadership to the team, defining objectives to be achieved by the department.Coordinate with the sales team and other departments to produce effective strategies. Monitor current campaigns, ensuring staff meet deadlines.Deploy people and management processes – workforce planning, recruitment & selection, learning and development, performance management, career and succession planning and employee relations etc. in line with organisational policies, procedures and prevailing improvement initiatives.Manage the working environment and ensure it contributes to improving staff morale and increasing productivity.Design and review operations and organisational structure to support operational plans and strategy, in collaboration with HR.Research and develop budgets to meet business requirements and monitor expenses ensuring expenditure is within the budget.Continuously strive for measurable, meaningful returns on marketing expenditure.Ensure adherence to all procurement policies and procedures by maintaining governance, risk and compliance.Continuously strive to save costs.Adhere to and meet all relevant safety targets and measurements within the area of responsibility.Adhere to and enforce all health and safety regulations and report all safety hazards, accidents and incidents to relevant structures.Actively address all customer and supplier concerns related to marketing activity within the prescribed time frame and processes.Adhere to, and lead in the compliance of all relevant legislation, (POPI, FICA, ASA, Communications Act, etc.) Environmental, Health and Safety or any other company required compliance.Develop, update and ensure alignment of all work processes to the required policies, processes, work instructions with governance, risk and compliance requirements.Proactively identify continual improvement strategies.Action and audit findings and agreed improvement initiatives ensuring that they are aligned to tasks/processes/systems.Implement corrective actions identified and agreed within the specified time.As an organisation, the Marketing Manager may be seconded or rotated within the company or SARB Group as part of a development plan or to fulfil ad hoc duties as and when required.Desired Experience & QualificationBachelor's Degree (3 years) in a relevant field is essential.Registration with MASA - Marketing Association of South Africa would be an advantage.Should come from a variety of business or industry backgrounds, where leadership, communication, and aligning creative direction with the company's strategic goals has been demonstrated.Must have an intimate understanding of traditional and emerging marketing channels.Excellent communication and leadership skills, creative and innovative.Familiarity with the latest trends, methodologies and technologies in web and social media metrics.A proven history of budget-management skills and proficiency with a strong governance and compliance component.Package & RemunerationMarket related.Interested?Kindly apply online.
