Purpose Of The Job:
Our Client is looking for a skilled and enthusiastic Marketing & Communications Specialist who can effectively manage their clients' public relations efforts while creating compelling written content. The ideal candidate should possess a deep understanding of communication skills, a proven track record in public relations management, and experience in crafting engaging content related to the Automotive sector in South Africa. This role requires a dynamic individual who is adept at both high-level strategy and hands-on execution, with a keen eye for detail, strong leadership skills, and a collaborative approach to team management.
Duties
Strategy and Planning:
Drive the development and execution of marketing and communications strategies
Handle the planning and manage the pipeline for the team
Align strategies with business objectives, ensuring consistent tracking and reporting on progress
Identify and strategize for internal and B2B communications channels, including LinkedIn and website
Team Management and Leadership:
Provide day-to-day operations of the design and marketing, ensuring smooth project execution and communications management
Coordinate with the design team for social media write-ups, artworks, and other content requirements
Assess the performance of the teams, evaluating successes versus weaknesses, and optimizing for best results
Media and Public Relations:
Manage relationships with media partners, affiliates, and other external stakeholders
Handle public relations, maintaining media relationships, and managing spokesperson reputation
Ensure the effective execution of on-the-ground marketing initiatives
Social Media and Content Management:
Manage all social media channels
Drive paid media promotions on various platforms and report monthly on social media performance
Reporting and Analytics:
Deliver monthly reports and insights, detailing performance across various marketing initiatives
Use marketing analytics tools to gather data and derive insights
Work closely with management ensuring they are informed of progress and strategies
Operational Duties:
Ensure the efficient organization of digital campaigns
Assist with promotions and internal marketing campaigns
Oversee the market research and analytics efforts to inform strategies and decisions
Requirements:
Relevant tertiary education
Minimum 3-5 years current experience in similar or same role in OEM/Dealership environment
A strong passion for and deep understanding and ability to capture its essence in your writing
Proven experience in public relations, with a track record of successful PR campaigns and media relationships
Exceptional writing skills with the ability to create captivating, informative, and persuasive content
Previous experience writing about the Automotive sector in South Africa, demonstrating a solid grasp of its challenges, developments, and trends
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with teams and build relationships with media contacts
A creative mindset and the ability to generate unique and engaging content ideas
Strong attention to detail and the ability to edit and proofread content for accuracy and consistency
Proficiency in using digital tools and platforms relevant to content creation
Automotive Industry experience at OEM level ESSENTIAL!!!
