MARKETING EXECUTIVE Unmatched ability to continuously innovate, source new products and create TV commercials to maximize sales and build brands, is critical to our success. To accelerate the rate of new product/category introductions, and to optimize the vast level of Intellectual Property (I.P.) accumulated in the business, we want to appoint a graduated marketing professional with experience. As few will have all the skills we require, it is imperative that you be a very fast learner!
Responsibilities: Market and Demand analysis by identifying market gaps and trends. Competitor analysis and formulating plans to penetrate gaps. Develop portfolio and category strategies that align with the business objectives and key principles. Manage budgets and continuously track spends to ensure they are aligned with sales and finance. Drive the innovation pipeline through extensive sourcing efforts and monitor product life cycles. Achieving sales targets through budget and demand planning. Evaluating business risks and implementing adequate plans and strategies to mitigate such risks. Outside the box thinking that ensures product placement and brand equity is not only maintained but enhanced through the marketing mix. Assist the marketing team to perform under difficult economic climates and assist the team to find new and innovative ways to be proactive in finding solutions to challenges in the short and long term. Negotiations: International trade buying and negotiations with suppliers both locally and internationally. Evaluation and correspondence with local and international suppliers including exclusivity, pricing, guarantee and supplier agreement negotiation. Address out of stocks, quality issues and all other product related aspects with suppliers. Product Development: Launch new products into the market. Manage and grow existing brands within the business. Evaluation and analysis of new products. Attending international sourcing fairs. Manage quality and product improvements. Physically assess and manage the test process of potential products. Creativity: Shooting of TV Commercials (including copy writing, sourcing of talent, and editing). Packaging designs for new and existing products. All marketing material for existing and new products. Development of product presentations for retail teams to present to interested buyers. Skills / Expertise required: Commerce Degree or Honors in Marketing, or MBA. Creative, innovative and lateral thinker. Ability to sell, persuade and negotiate. FMCG experience – Retail and/or Direct Sales. Strong on follow-through and multi-tasking. A Consultant will be in touch if you are shortlisted for the position.
