This role is open to applicants from Cape Town or Johannesburg.Duties and Responsibilities (Include but are not limited to):Drive market penetration of the Wallet & VAS business to deliver the budgeted targets for assigned markets and ensuring operational excellenceLead the acquisition of new customers, improve the retention of our existing customers and increase the usage of our products by:Being the Wallet & VAS champion for your assigned markets to gain share of mind and coordinate business activity in support of the Wallet & VAS strategyDeveloping the customer proposition strategy that is relevant and valuable to our marketsCollaborating with sales and marketing teams to achieve communication, brand, awareness and customer acquisition objectivesOverseeing and improving our distribution channelsEnsuring the Wallet & VAS business is running smoothly by working with the Operations, Customer Service, Product and other functions.Oversee the successful implementation of plans in conjunction with other departmentsManage the projects in line with the specified project planProvide guidance and direction to project team members during the projectCoordinate the project team's activities and prioritize activities within projectsTrack the progress of all tasks related to the projects on a daily basisIdentify any areas that are running behind schedule and address with the relevant stakeholderIdentify where additional support or assistance may be required to ensure project timelines are metEnsure the project plans include targets and measures, resource requirements and planned activitiesIdentify and develop new business opportunities to expand the companyIdentify opportunities to expand product and services range offeredEnsure opportunities are strategically and legally viablePresent business case for opportunity for approvalIf approved:Make contacts in order to develop prospects and leads with various potential partnersNegotiate with potential partners in order to obtain mutually beneficial signed contractsImplement the opportunity independently, or by working with a Project ManagerAssist in the budgeting process, pricing, and partner management.Assist the Market Development Manager with:Developing the budgets and reporting on market performanceConducting pricing reviewsPartner negotiations, commercial discussions and managing the ongoing relationshipsUnderstand the market dynamics to enable decision makingKeep abreast of the current future market trends and industry changesIdentify competitors and keep up to date on their business models (e.g. suppliers, platforms, pricing, product offerings, customer retention strategies, etc)Manage own professional and self-developmentAttend weekly KPI meeting with ManagerAttend monthly performance meeting with ManagerAttend all required training courses for new productKey Requirements:Grade 12 or equivalent (Essential)Related Tertiary Qualification (Essential)2 Years of work experienceExperience in a Market Development roleExperience in Financial Services (Desirable)Knowledge of payments and remittancesKnowledge of the marketing and sales process (B2C & C2C).Knowledge of contracts and commercial agreementsKnowledge of operating license requirementsAdditional Skills and Competencies:Computer SkillsVerbal communication skillsSelling skillsTime management skillsOrganisational & administrative skillsAttention to detailInterpersonal skillsAnalytical skillsSelf-motivatedIf you do not receive any response after two weeks, please consider your application unsuccessful.NB: ALL STAFF APPOINTMENTS WILL BE MADE WITH DUE CONSIDERATION OF THE COMPANY'S DIVERSITY AND INCLUSION PLANS.
