Marine Electrician

Requirements:Proven experience as a Marine Electrician or in a similar role, with a minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience working with electrical systems on ships, offshore platforms, or other marine vessels.Valid Marine Electrical Certification.
Additional certifications related to marine systems, power generation, and safety are an advantage.Completion of a formal apprenticeship or technical training in electrical engineering or marine electrical systems is preferred.
Strong knowledge of marine electrical systems and equipment, including AC/DC motors, switchboards, generators, transformers, electrical panels, and navigational equipment.
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.Proven ability to troubleshoot and repair electrical faults in marine environments, using both standard and advanced diagnostic tools.In-depth knowledge of electrical safety protocols and the ability to work in compliance with marine industry safety standards.
Familiarity with hazardous locations and working safely in confined spaces is critical.Ability to work in challenging conditions, including confined spaces, high/low temperatures, and rough weather conditions on ships or offshore platforms.Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with other team members, engineers, and management.Willingness to work on vessels in port or offshore.If youre ready for an exciting new challenge, we want to hear from you!
