Manufacturing Plant Material Management Systems Specialist

A client of Managed Talent Solutions in Port Elizabeth/Gqeberha is looking for a Materials Management (MM) Systems Specialist with experience in a Manufacturing plant.
The MM Systems Specialist is responsible for the management, maintenance and optimization of the ERP Systems MM module, including inventory management and procurement processes.
This will be a contract position for 2 years with opportunity for permanent employment.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or similar qualification Relevant SAP Certification / Business & Systems Analysis Experience with SAP MM integration with other SAP modules such as FI, CO, and SD Experience with SAP MM integration with other SAP modules such as FI, CO, and SD Knowledge of procurement and inventory management processes Experience across SAP industry solutions is highly preferred EXPERIENCE Minimum 5 years experience in SAP support, consulting, implementing and configuring in the MM streams.
Experience in the Motor Industry and / or an Industrial Plant environment is an advantage KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Ensure the functional availability and QOS of the MM modules including performing daily routine tasks and maintenance.
Maintain SAP MM master data, including materials, vendors, and purchasing info records Maintain SAP MM purchasing documents, including purchase orders, purchase requisitions, and requests for quotation Maintain SAP MM inventory management, including goods receipt, goods issue, and physical inventory Maintain SAP MM pricing procedures and conditions Provide end-user support and training for SAP MM processes and procedures Interpret business requirements and provide solutions including gap analysis, business process engineering and mapping, configuration, testing and roll out Identify, and recommends opportunities for productivity improvements and implementations where agreed.
Ensure corporate procedures are maintained, including change management processes and escalate incidents to group level where applicable Track and manage ERP requests on relevant corporate systems, including incident and crisis management.
