Working within our Factory Environment this position will be responsible for a range of accounting activities in the manufacturing environment across our Furniture and Upholstery Divisions. You will report to the CEO with additional guidance as and when required from the CFO.
This position will be based at our Cape Town DC in Epping.
Main Accountabilities include but are not limited to: Daily/Weekly:
Management of the Finance Administration teamEnsuring DEXT/APMax/XERO/CIN7 are up to date with processing turnarounds per normal SLA with Finance Administration teamReview and releasement of payments on Banking PlatformsGRN Health Check across CIN7AP and AR reviews with instructions to Finance Administration teamInventory Management issues, receipts, consumable storesAdministration of CIN7 Stock code, BOM, routing and OH allocationsReview of Cashbook recons prepared by Finance Administration teamMonthly:
Fixed Asset Register (FAR) maintenance – as well as Wear & Tear register.Monthly Management Journals (Provisions/Accruals/Interbranch allocations, etc)Intercompany – Loans and Invoicing (Cost Recoveries/Recharges)VAT PreparationBalance Sheet Reconciliation preparationPreparation/review of Management AccountsOversight & management of stock count process for the Manufacturing entityProduction insights and reporting into volume, OH absorption, profitabilityReview of materials utilisation and recovery in the Ecommerce and Dispatch division of the Weylandts Home Stores businessQuarterly/Annual:
Preparation of Provisional/Annual Tax SubmissionsPreparation of annual budget/ and reforecast where necessaryPreparation and Facilitation of annual auditInsurance ReviewTechnical skills: BCom Degree in Accounting or Management AccountingMinimum 3 years' experience managing / leading a team5- 8 years relevant accounting experienceExcellent Excel skillsManufacturing experience would be advantageousExcellent PC skills (MS Office, Syspro, Xero and CIN7 experience would be advantageous)Good knowledge of IFRS for SME's standardsPersonal skills and attributes: Excellent planning, organizational and interpersonal skillsAbility to exercise resilience when facing challengesDeadline drivenDemonstrates a positive hands-on can-do attitudeAble to work independently, yet be a team playerAbility to manage and lead a teamMust be a positive, energetic, self-starter with excellent problem solving and decision-making skills
