Manufacturing Accountant

Join to apply for the Manufacturing Accountant role at Total Recruitment Solutions.Job Responsibilities:Primary functions for this position (include but are not limited to):Processing Cash Book (Weekly & Monthly) for various bank accounts.Loading payments on banking system.Maintenance of Fixed Asset Register (FAR).Approval of all invoices issued.Tracking and reporting costs per project.Assisting with month-end stock take procedures.Reviewing creditors and providing assistance where necessary.Reviewing Petty Cash.Calculating and reconciling Provisions (Provident fund, SARS, Bonus, Fuel, etc.).Reconciling the balance sheet accounts to supporting documentation monthly.Preparation of the monthly management accounts with supporting file within reporting deadlines.Preparation & submission of VAT201.Liaising with the Chamber of Commerce, ensuring that all export documentation is correct.Liaising with SARS in matters relating to VAT, PAYE & Customs; ensuring that any queries from SARS are dealt with.Attending to queries relating to the accounting department from other departments & external third parties.Obtaining certification of compliance to regulatory requirements, i.e., Tax clearance certificate.Ensuring that all staff members under your supervision adhere to company policies, procedures & rules; where deviations occur, take the necessary actions to remedy the behavior.Maintaining housekeeping standards within the administration department.Variance analysis for income & expenses (Budget – Actual).Assisting with ad hoc projects as requested by the Financial Manager.Objectives/Milestones:To be discussed and set on successful employment.Minimum Requirements:Matric.Completed Degree in Finance.Must have manufacturing experience.Excellent Computer Literacy (MS Office).Valid Driver's License.No criminal record.Medically fit.Characteristics/Personal Attributes:Energetic.Analytical and systematic, detail-oriented.Highly motivated with a positive attitude.Proactive.Strong team player.Self-starter.High integrity, trustworthy, and dependable.Ability to manage time effectively.Follow through with all assigned tasks.Fast learner.Willing and able to work overtime.Seniority Level:Entry level.Employment Type:Full-time.Job Function:Accounting/Auditing and Finance.Industries:Staffing and Recruiting.
