Who we're looking for:As the Managing Director, you will be the driving force behind our agency's vision, growth, and operational success. Reporting directly to the Group Managing Director:
Define and implement the agency's strategic direction, ensuring alignment with business goals.Foster strong relationships with high-profile clients and industry leaders.Oversee operational excellence, including financial management, resource allocation, and performance monitoring.Build and sustain a thriving agency culture, with a focus on inclusion, collaboration, and talent development.Act as a brand ambassador, representing the agency at industry events and in the media.What you'll be doing:Leadership: Inspire and manage a high-performing team while driving alignment across departments.Client Relationships: Serve as the face of the agency, nurturing existing client partnerships and developing new opportunities.Operational Oversight: Oversee budgets, P&L, resource planning, and workflow efficiency.People Development: Mentor senior leaders, empower teams, and cultivate a culture of growth and accountability.Visionary thinking with the ability to operationalize strategy.Exceptional client engagement skills, with a proven ability to build and maintain high-value relationships.Financial acumen and experience managing budgets and driving profitability.Cultural awareness and a proven track record of fostering inclusive, high-performing teams.Industry Expertise: Stay ahead of advertising trends, fostering innovation in both traditional and digital channels.Strategic Leadership: Expert in vision development and change management.Client Management: Advanced client relationship-building and negotiation skills.Operational Excellence: Proficiency in financial management, resource allocation, and workflow efficiency.People Leadership: Proven expertise in coaching, team building, and performance management.What you'll need:A minimum of 15 years of experience in advertising, marketing, or a related field, with at least 3 years in the role.A strong track record of driving revenue growth and managing high-profile client accounts.Demonstrated ability to lead through change and build a unified, motivated team.A passion for creativity, innovation, and exceeding client expectations.At VML, we are committed to fostering an all-inclusive work environment that is both rewarding and career-forward.
