Our client in the beverage manufacturing/FMCG industry is seeking an experienced and strategic Managing Director to lead their business operations and drive growth.
The role requires a dynamic leader with a deep understanding of the FMCG market, brand development, and operational excellence to steer the company towards achieving its business goals.
Responsibilities:Strategic Leadership:Develop and implement strategic plans that align with the companys growth objectives in the beverage sector.Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring alignment with long-term business goals and brand vision.Identify and explore new market opportunities to expand the company's footprint and increase market share.Operational Management:Drive operational efficiency across production, distribution, and supply chain functions.Oversee the financial health of the business, managing budgets, forecasts, and financial reporting to ensure profitability.Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and sustainability initiatives.Team Leadership and Development:Lead and inspire a high-performing team, fostering a collaborative and innovative work culture.Implement performance management systems to monitor progress and drive accountability across all departments.Invest in team development through training, mentoring, and talent management initiatives.Brand Growth and Marketing:Guide brand development strategies to strengthen market presence and customer loyalty.Collaborate with the marketing team to create impactful campaigns and build a strong brand identity.Monitor market trends and competitor activities to adapt strategies and maintain a competitive edge.Stakeholder Relations:Maintain and build strong relationships with key stakeholders, including suppliers, distributors, and partners.Represent the company at industry events, building brand recognition and credibility in the market.Report to the Board of Directors on company performance, strategic direction, and growth initiatives.Key Skills:Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Proven experience in financial management and budgeting.Ability to inspire, lead, and manage a diverse team.Deep understanding of the FMCG and beverage industry, including market dynamics and consumer behavior.Strong decision-making abilities and a track record of delivering results.Minimum of 10 years of senior management experience, ideally within the FMCG or beverage sector.Proven success in business growth and brand development within a competitive market.Proficiency in financial and operational management, with a solid understanding of industry regulations and sustainability practices.Qualifications:Bachelors degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or a related field; an MBA or equivalent is advantageous.
