The Manager works closely with various departments to ensure that the facilities meet operational needs, regulatory requirements, and safety standards.Key Responsibilities:Renovations, Maintenance, and RepairsSupervise and coordinate the renovation, maintenance and repair activities for all physical assets, electrical systems, plumbing, and other equipmentEnsure that the preventive maintenance schedules are followed and that corrective actions are taken promptlySpace Planning and UtilizationOptimize space allocation and layout to meet organizational needs and ensure maximum space utilizationCoordinate office relocations, expansions, or consolidationsSafety and SecurityDevelop and implement safety protocols, emergency response plans, and security measures to create a safe and secure working environmentConduct regular safety inspections and auditsSustainability and Environmental InitiativesImplement sustainable practices and initiatives to reduce the facility's environmental impact, including energy conservation, waste reduction, and green building certificationsVendor and Supplier ManagementManage relationships with central Campus Infrastructure, service providers, contractors, to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and compliance with service level agreementsTechnology IntegrationOversee the implementation and maintenance of technology systems, such as card access systemsDevelop and implement plans to ensure business continuity in the event of emergencies or disastersStakeholder CommunicationEstablish effective communication channels with occupants, stakeholders, and other departments to address concerns, provide updates, and gather feedbackBudgeting and Financial ManagementAssist in the development and management of the facilities budget, ensuring that expenses are within allocated fundsIdentify cost-saving opportunities and implement efficient resource allocation strategiesQualificationsBachelor's degree in a related field5 years of relevant work experienceKnowledge of relevant regulations, codes, and industry best practicesSkills required:Problem-solving and decision-making abilitiesStrong communication (verbal and written), and interpersonal skillsOrganizational and multitasking abilitiesLeadership and team management skills(Appointment job grade will commensurate with the selected candidate's experience)More InformationLocation: Kent Ridge CampusOrganization: School of BusinessDepartment : Dean's Office (BIZ)Employee Referral Eligible: NoJob requisition ID : 22381
