Job Objectives • Ensure legal compliance with all relevant Health and Safety Acts and legislations through: o implementing and maintaining standards & procedures o ongoing training, coaching and assessment o evaluating and improving SOP's as needed.
• Ensure business continuity by implementing and maintaining insurance related standards,  addressing audit findings and putting emergency plans in place.
• To continually build a culture of health and safety and zero-injuries on site by engaging with our  employees through: o Onboarding new employees re HSE requirements o Arranging Annual / Entry / Exit medicals and reporting on it o Creating and providing toolbox talks for the Invocoms o Contributing to the site and corporate newsletter o Addressing any unsafe behaviours and unsafe conditions o Providing HSE legal compliance training o Enabling and coordinating monthly HSE representatives o Coordinating monthly fire fighting drill competitions o Recognising excellence for the site when observed o Reinforcing compliance to policies and procedures o Advising the management team on all HSE risk mitigation matters o Reporting and or recommending solutions on health and safety to management by  improvement opportunities and or preventative measures • To prevent incidents, injuries and property damage by proactively identifying and addressing  hazards to reduce and or minimise possible risks.
• To eliminate and reduce loss and theft to company by implementing control measures, proper  investigation of any crime or loss incidents and continuous improvement of site and asset  protection.
• Manage outsourced service providers and ad hoc contractors through their relevant managers and  the implementation and monitoring of performance against their SLA's/ contracts in regular  meetings/ Invocoms.
• Ensure continually development of HSE on site through regular internal (Premier STAR) and  external auditing.
• To support management decision making by regular reporting on HSE trends and KPI's and making  recommendations on areas for improvement, guiding and advising the team on all HSE areas for  compliance, whilst executing HSE programmes in line with the agreed budget and targets.
