Join Our Team as a Manager, Project Portfolio Support and Compliance
Are you an experienced leader with a passion for driving excellence in project management and compliance? We are seeking a Manager of Project Portfolio Support and Compliance to spearhead the Project Portfolio Management function across our Coal Business. In this critical role, you will ensure that our project execution aligns seamlessly with our coal strategy and development plans.
You will be responsible for optimizing the SIB and Capital portfolio, conducting thorough business case reviews to guarantee that projects are approved in accordance with our Capital Excellence framework. Your leadership will be essential in developing and enhancing discipline policies, standards, and procedures that underpin our operations.
As the Manager, you will establish best practices in project management and portfolio oversight, ensuring that robust project and technical practices are consistently applied across all operations and initiatives. Your expertise will drive the implementation of Project Management methodologies, providing governance and compliance knowledge that adds maximum value to our business today and in the future.
In this role, you will set the standards for project management, compliance, and assurance for coal projects within the company.
Minimum Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS:
B Eng (Relevant) (Essential/Minimum)
BSc Engineering (Essential/Minimum)
BCom (Hons) (Relevant) (Essential/Minimum)
Certificate Project Management (Essential/Minimum)
Management Development Programme (Essential/Minimum)
EXPERIENCE:
Minimum of 8 Years Business Unit and Project Management exposure. Project Management and Management experience in Project Management methodologies, project management book of knowledge, principles and practices for the planning, design and implementation of project outcomes, project evaluation and improvement. Business operations and full value chain understanding. (Essential/Minimum)
REQUIREMENTS:
Psychometric Assessment (Essential/Minimum) (To be conducted by Exxaro)
Certificate of Fitness (Essential/Minimum) (To be conducted by Exxaro)
Project Management Professional (Essential/Minimum)
Duties & Responsibilities
Ideal Candidate Profile (Includes but not limited to):
Lead the Project Portfolio Management and Compliance function across the Coal Business.
Manage overall portfolio execution in line with coal strategy and development plans.
Optimise the SIB & Capital portfolio across the Coal business including business case reviews, to ensure that projects are approved in accordance with the Capital Excellence framework.
Provide overall leadership and maintain and continuously improve discipline policies, standards, procedures, and guidelines.
Develop best practices in project management, project risk, portfolio management policy, methodology, procedures, and guidelines. Ensure that sound project and technical practices are applied across all operations and projects, adding maximum value for the business today and tomorrow.
Ensure the implementation of Project Management methodology.
Provide expert project governance and compliance knowledge and oversight to the Group.
Set standards for project management, compliance, and assurance for coal projects in the Company.
