Manager: Payroll (Grade 15) - 6 months contract
Finance Division: Payroll Section The Finance Divisioninvite suitably qualified candidates to join their team.

Main Objectives Ensure the smooth and efficient running of the Payroll Department – all payrolls. Core functions of this office are the timeous payment of Salaries and Wages, ensure accuracy; adherence to statutory and legislative requirements, optimizing business processes, striving for operational efficiencies as well as the oversight, coordination & administration of the University's staff loans. Further to ensure identification and correction of discrepancies / errors, ensure accurate Payroll reconciliations in compliance with existing policies and procedures thereby not exposing the University to risk while preserving its reputation and ensuring that Management, Auditors and Clients are provided with accurate information.
The Requirements
A relevant B. Degree plus approximately 6 years' relevant experience where relevant experience includes: -
Having worked with accounts and/or in an accounting environment with at least 5 years' experience working in payrollMust have worked on a computerized payroll system, with specific experience on SAGE PayrollPrevious experience in handling payroll queriesKnowledge of current legislation relating to PAYE, UIF, LRA, BCEA and finance legislation, i.e. National Credit act.At least 2-years' supervision/management experienceApplication Process It is essential that prospective candidates read thejob profile for further information and ensure that all relevant documentation is submitted.

Remuneration per month (Grade 15): Basic Pensionable Salary per month: R54 799
Value of benefits per month: R16 154.27
