Manager: Occupational Health Safety & Security (Ohss)

MANAGER: OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH SAFETY & SECURITY (OHSS)We have an exciting opportunity for an OHSS Manager to join our organization. The ideal candidate needs to be a proactive and confident individual with a proven track record of functional expertise, an aptitude for collaboration, orientation for excellence, and project management. Reporting to the General Manager, you will work at the Fruitways Packing Services Office in Grabouw (Molteno site) and provide support to both our Packing and Farming business units.
Responsibilities:Develop and implement the group's OHSS compliance framework in alignment with relevant regulatory standards, organizational policies, and the requirements of the business' key stakeholdersPlan, coordinate, and monitor the implementation of annual OHSS activities and systems in collaboration with teams at various sitesManage and oversee the implementation of the occupational health and safety risk management processes and continuously identify and mitigate potential risks or hazardsMonitor, investigate, and review Health, Safety, and security incidents and recommend improvements to relevant stakeholdersCollaborate with relevant on-site personnel to continuously improve Health & Safety management processes and systemsDeliver in collaboration with stakeholders, educational programs on workplace health and/or safety & securityDevelop, implement, and maintain an accurate and up-to-date data management system regarding OHSS activitiesRequirements:National Diploma, BTech, or relevant tertiary qualification requiredMinimum of 10 years' experience in an OHS role requiredOHS, SHEQ, or equivalent occupational health and safety certifications strongly preferredAdditional experience in managing the security of assets and personnel will be an advantageStrong time and project management skillsExcellent at building and maintaining collaborative working relationships with a wide variety of stakeholders across all levels of businessCapacity to work independently as a functional expert in occupational health and safetyProfessional written and verbal communication skillsComputer literacy – Proven experience or knowledge of Microsoft Office suite highly preferablePlease note that the position will be filled in alignment with the Group's Employment Equity objectives.
