To be part of the journey, follow the steps below:To see what life at Capitec is all about and complete a short assessment, please click here!Once you have completed the above finalize your application by clicking apply belowPurpose StatementTo contribute towards maximising Stage 3 recoveries and impairment releases, and minimising Stage 3 recovery costs and impairment raises for Capitec Business and Capitec Rental Finance through:Operationalising the Legal Recoveries Strategy and assuming duties for the Head: Legal Recoveries (as required) when unavailable.Managing the institution, progression and finalisation of applicable legal processes to ensure the optimal realisation of collateral and recoveries (in line with budget and targets) held across the scored secured and unsecured Business Bank non-performing loan portfolios, and the Rental Finance non-performing loan portfolio.Designing, implementing and managing performance within applicable Service Level Agreements and recoveries' targets of all third parties utilised by the Legal Recoveries division.Building solid relationships with the External Debt Collectors (EDCs) and to continuously grow the EDC network to support the Business Bank and Rental Finance recovery strategies.Managing relevant stakeholders (clients, colleagues and external service providers), portfolios and processes so as to reduce non-performing loan ratios in line with industry norms.ExperienceMinimum:6 - 8 years in a banking / legal environment comprising of:at least 2 years at a managerial leveland 3 years in a Collections / Recoveries environmentExperience in Insolvency practiceIdeal:8+ years in a banking environment comprising of2+ years at a managerial level, and 3+ years in a Collections / Recoveries spaceQualifications (Minimum)Bachelor's Degree in Commerce or LawQualifications (Ideal Or Preferred)A relevant post-graduate qualification in Law or Business AdministrationKnowledgeMinimum:Credit and corporate legislation and processesBanking and financial services industryDebt recovery processesCollateral variants / typesCommercial, business and financial principles and practicesGovernance and risk management principlesBusiness products, processes, policies and systemsData analyticsStakeholder performance management principlesQuality Assurance practiceDeep knowledge of Insolvency principles / processes / policies / etc.Ideal:Management experience in Capitec Bank.Experience in the same or a similar industryEDC practice and experienceSkillsAnalytical SkillsAttention to DetailComputer Literacy (MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook)Interpersonal & Relationship management SkillsProblem solving skillsConditions of EmploymentClear criminal and credit recordCapitec is committed to diversity and, where feasible, all appointments will support the achievement of our employment equity goals.
