Manager: Internal Auditor (Insurance)

About the Role As the Manager: Internal Auditor, you will lead the internal audit function for our insurance business unit.
You will provide objective and relevant assurance, contribute to governance, and help improve control processes across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities Define and implement a strategic internal audit approach for the insurance business unit.
Contribute to departmental strategic planning, focusing on the insurance unit.
Provide technical expertise and support in the annual audit planning process.
Identify risks and recommend controls for enterprise risk management.
Leverage technology to optimise internal audit performance.
Manage the operational delivery of the audit strategy and ensure continuous improvement.
Oversee governance, quality assurance, and audit reporting for the insurance unit.
Manage the internal audit team, including recruitment, development, and performance management.
Build strong stakeholder relationships by applying financial knowledge and business acumen.
What You'll Bring Honours Degree in Commerce/Internal Auditing.
Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) or Chartered Accountant (SA).
Minimum 3 years' experience in Data Analytics and CAATS.
At least 10 years' internal audit experience within the insurance industry.
5+ years' experience managing a team in financial services.
Expertise in project planning and management, with strong business acumen in internal audit practices.
Preferred Qualifications Master's Degree in Commerce/Internal Auditing.
