Preference will be given to candidates with Local Government Human Job Purpose: Provide strategic direction, management, control and leadership of Human Resources for the Greater Knysna Municipality with a staff component of 690 employees and manage and co-ordinate all human resource functions and staff.Duties: Develop and monitor Human Resource Strategy; Human Resources Budget Planning; Human Resource Planning; Develop and monitor Implementation of Employment Equity Plan; Develop and Monitor Human Resource Policies and Procedures; Develop and Monitor Skills Development Plan; Develop and Monitor Implementation of Performance Management System; Establish and Maintain healthy working relations with unions; Implementing and Monitoring Human Resources Systems; Manage and Co-ordinate Human Resource Management Functions and Staff; Develop and Ensure implementation of Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) and Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) strategies; Develop and Monitor implementation of Diversity Programme.Please note:1 It would be expected of candidates to be subjected to thorough evaluations and that previous and current employers and references will be contacted.
