About the roleThe Manager - Finance Business Partner Commercial partners strategically with key internal stakeholders or functional teams and relevant leadership team across Africa, to drive accountability of business performance and to provide financial analysis, insight into underlying performance and support.
What you will be doingExecuting Maintains a business partnership relationship with the Business VP and leadership team
Accountable for control of profit and loss, balance sheet and cash flow and analysis, visibility and insight into underlying business unit financial performance
Provides business support on decision making, target setting, investment and performance.
Provides clear decision support including analysis of strategic options utilising established KPIs and benchmarks
Translates the strategic and operational plans into budgets and plans that improve performance and delivery.
Ensures Management understands standard Monthly performance reporting including variance from plan and forecast
Provides analysis and guidance to Management to optimise Business's balance sheet (capital efficiency & TWC optimisation)
Evaluates and analyses investment opportunities (capex, leasing and opex) utilising standard systems & metrics
Evaluates and analyses customer tender opportunities utilising standard systems (eg. GQOMS) & metrics
Conducts regular Customer & Product Profitability Analysis utilising standard tools. Provides insight into improvement opportunities
Leverages benchmarks to drive cost & process efficiency improvements
Ensures costs are properly accounted for and draws upon SSC's & COE's for central services, and finance service level agreements are met
Educates stakeholders on standard systems and metrics.
Regional & Group Planning Key contributing member to the Orica mandated 5 year plan process including preparation and analysis
Key contributing member to the Orica mandated annual budget process including preparation and analysis
Key contributing member to the Orica mandated financial forecasting process including preparation and analysis
What you will bringRelevant tertiary qualification in Finance/ Accounting or Business discipline
Professional designation CA, CMA, or CPA
Experience in a large, global business and commercal business partnering
Strong people leadership experience
10 years post graduate experience in accounting or finance (or related discipline)
Excellent knowledge of related standards
