Purpose Statement To diversify the risk of loss through bad debts and optimise profits through effective execution of credit portfolio reporting and management across the Capitec Business Bank credit portfolio. To interact with other areas of the bank and act as a catalyst in ensuring compliance with agreed risk parameters as set out in the Bank's strategy and contained in the credit risk appetite schedule. Experience Minimum: At least 8 years relevant Credit risk management experience across Personal and Business markets in a bank which includes: 5 years general credit management 3 years accounting Stakeholder management at all levels, guiding and influencing to manage credit risk. Ideal: Credit risk appetite formulation and credit portfolio management experience for a lending portfolio in a bank. Contributing and providing input into credit management strategy. Qualifications (Minimum) Honours Degree in Accounting - Financial Accounting or Accounting - Management Accounting Qualifications (Ideal or Preferred) Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) Knowledge Minimum: Business knowledge and acumen Credit Risk management, including the application of a credit risk framework Understanding of Project Management methodologies and processes People and relationship management principles and practices Broad knowledge and understanding of accounting and financial management Ideal: Credit risk management experience across the key drivers of credit portfolio performance (financial reporting, provisions, risk appetite tracking, risk profile analysis).
