Journal Entries : Review and postnecessary journal entries to record accruals, adjustments, andcorrections as well as provisions.
Reconciliations : Conduct reconciliationsfor bank accounts,accounts payable, and other balance sheet accounts toensure accuracy.
Inventory : Perform inventoryreconciliation to valuation accuracy, Sage vs POS (point of sale) Budget vs. Actual Analysis : Compare actual financialperformance to budgeted amounts.
Identify and analyse variances,investigating any discrepancies and providing insights to management.
Revenue Recognition : Ensure proper recognitionof revenue in accordance with accounting standards and company policies.
Ensure completeness andaccuracy of all Tender types.
Expense Review : Review and analyseexpenses incurred during the month.
Confirm accuracy and appropriatenessof expense allocations.
Ensure C.O.S is aligned toSAGE vs all POS systems Ensure all Shrinkages areposted timeously.
Compliance and Audit Preparation : Prepare working papers anddocumentation external audits.
Update financial systemswith month-end closing entries and ensure data integrity.
Reviewsystem-generated reports for accuracy.
Communication and Reporting : Communicate financialresults, analysis, and insights to relevant stakeholders, includingsenior management and department heads.
Documentation and Process Improvement : Maintain documentation ofmonth-end processes and procedures.
Identify opportunities for processimprovements to streamline the financial close process.
