Contract position for a Management Accountant - 5 months contract - Diep River - Western Cape. One of our clients in the Beverage industry, situated in the Western Cape has a vacancy for a Management Accountant. This is a 5 to 6 month contract half day position.The main purpose of this position is to: Assist the finance team in collating the last 3 years' financial documents and statements.Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement.Provide insights and recommendations based on financial analysis.Cost Management:Analyze cost structures and identify opportunities for cost reduction.Monitor and report on production costs, overheads, and project costs.Implement and maintain cost accounting systems and processes.Internal Controls and Compliance:Ensure adherence to financial policies, procedures, and internal controls.Support internal and external audit processes, providing necessary documentation and explanations.Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations.Business Partnering:Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and support decision-making.Act as a financial advisor to various departments, providing guidance on financial matters.Minimum Qualifications:Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.Knowledge and experience with Pastel and/or Xero.Proven experience as a Management Accountant or similar role.Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting.Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Preferred Skills and Experience:Experience in the Beverage sector.Knowledge of Pastel and Xero systemsFamiliarity with financial modeling and forecasting techniques.Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.Working Conditions:Hybrid role In office 3 days per week.Half day position.Offices are in Diep River candidates must reside in surrounding areas.
