VACANCYSALDANHAThe following vacancy exists within our FINANCE DEPARTMENT based in Saldanha BayPOSITION: MANAGEMENT ACCOUNTANTREPORTING TO: SENIOR MANAGEMENT ACCOUNTANTJOB PURPOSE:To manage financial and management accounting processes as well as sea-going remuneration and vessel compliance support service to the Saldanha Fleet Operations, which inform sound strategic decision making required to optimize performance to achieve objectives for growth and profitability.KEY PERFORMANCE:Duties include but will not be limited to:Manage efficient and timeous budgeting, forecasting, and quota reconciliation process for Saldanha Fleet Operations:Determine CAPEX budget according to guidelines in conjunction with the Fleet ManagerCompile catch forecast data; Analyze catch forecast balanceCreate quota catch plan for input to budgetManage Saldanha Fleet Operations budget formulation processProvide timeous and accurate monthly management accounts and other financial and management reports:Manage month-end closure process in line with Group deadlinesReview management accounts; prepare financial vessel reporting pack to be presented to OPSCOCreate financial reports and analyses with commentary on monthly, quarterly, annual, and ad hoc basis as required.Monitor efficient operational, capital expenditure, and project cost control:Ensure internal control system is maintained according to best practiceMonitor controls to ensure expenditure stays in line with budgetsCollaborate with relevant Managing Executives/Directors to improve efficienciesProvide efficient sea-going remuneration and vessel compliance management support service:Create an accurate dashboard for sea-going remuneration processRelease relevant payments, such as wages, payroll, ad hoc payments as requiredProvide leadership and manage the team effectivelyKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:BCom or relevant tertiary qualification (CIMA advantageous)At least 2 years' experience in a similar role.Good computer literacy in Microsoft applications, especially Excel.Good numeric ability.Deadline-driven.Administrative skills.Good written and verbal communication skills.Good understanding of key business processes and practices.Demonstrates influencing skills.Analytical and good problem-solving ability.Accurate with strong attention to detail.Methodical and meticulous.Responsive; Energetic.Ability to function independently and under pressure.Ability to filter information and assess priorities.Logical thinking; Reliable.Articulate and self-confident.Professional, credible, and highly motivated.Interested parties who meet the above requirements, and possess the attributes stated, may submit a comprehensive CV, along with certified copies of their IDs and qualifications to:The HR ManagerEmail: ****** DATE: 17 June 2024
