Management Accountant

We're seeking a Management Accountant. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in management and financial accounting, including proficiency in forecasting, job costing, budgeting, and more. You'll play a pivotal role in aiding directors and senior management in strategic decision-making by analyzing and presenting crucial financial insights.
Key Responsibilities: - Enhance financial control and ERP systems to meet global standards
- Ensure adherence to accounting principles in reporting business transactions
- Analyze expense variations for managerial insights
- Collaborate with manufacturing and service managers to develop effective costing models
- Work closely with procurement and logistics departments for optimal cost management
- Mentor finance and admin teams to ensure streamlined processes
- Oversee payroll, budgeting, funding models, and investment management
- Manage foreign exchange transactions and negotiations
- Maintain compliance with tax regulations, including SARS requirements
- Coordinate with external auditors for compliance matters
Requirements: - Proven experience in management accounting or similar roles
- Strong understanding of financial accounting principles and practices
- Expertise in cost accounting, risk analysis, and forecasting
- Proficiency in ERP systems, MS Office, and financial software
- Analytical thinker with problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities
- Fluency in English; Afrikaans proficiency is a plus
- Familiarity with tax and VAT regulations, including SARS submissions
- High emotional intelligence suited for a dynamic, growth-oriented environment
Qualifications: - Minimum: BCom/BTech in Accounting or Management Accounting
- SAIPA/SAICA/CIMA articles completed or in progress preferred
- 5+ years of post-qualification professional experience
Remuneration: Competitive package ranging from R40,000 to R55,000, depending on qualifications and experience.
